What is the Cost of MOAB, dropped by US in Afghanistan?

America’s military leaders, in their infinite wisdom, saw fit to use a MOAB — “Massive Ordnance Air Blast,” also known as the “Mother of All Bombs” — in Afghanistan against ISIS forces.

One benefit of having Donald Trump as president is that now it suddenly matters how much it costs to bomb foreign countries. The Twitter-verse, thanks to Russian defector Edward Snow-den, quickly came up with a price tag of $314 million.

But in fact this was the cost of 20 such bombs. So a MOAB actually costs about $16 million.

When Obama was president, it cost only $1.1 billion to turn Libya into a failed state and a humanitarian disaster without a legal congressional authorization.
